for those of you asking this question, I shall refer you to the email that i got in the middle of the night last night from the provider.
Dear Customer,
We are not happy with the performance of the 24 core machine. We are not sure if the problem is due to interrupt handling, kernel, or whatever. The bottom line is that it is not performing how we would like it. We are migrating all accounts (user name, IPs, files) into two machines - 2 x Harper-Towns, 16 gigs RAM, RAID 10. We are removing the package #1 and package #2 system since that will no longer be necessary, and simply have everything available in one package again.
You will not need to do anything. Please be aware you will probably experience significant lag spikes as we perform the rsync\'s necessary for this quick migration. We may perform several reboots within the next 24 hours as perform these migrations so you will experience some intermittent downtime.
Our highest priority is for you to have the highest quality game server experience for the best price.
