This is like a 3 week long cock-block of gaming. Get email to be in beta. Get another for codes. Now gotta wait for actual time to slave away at downloading and playing. ACK!!!!

I know lol. I received mine like 4 weeks before last weekends events and it felt like I was in a time warp where every second dragged on as hours. I nearly died of excitement when I finally got to log in and create my character.

Got my actual invite and I believe I am in the process of downloading the files for this weekend. Here's hoping I don't die from all the suspense before hand.

What faction are you going to play? I suggest playing something you're not going to play at launch. This is because all the characters you create during the testing get deleted afterward, so nobody has an advantage or can reserve a name. We should join up if you want to. Each side has two classes that start in the exact same area.
Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular both start on Tython and can team up after the opening cinematic and dialog choices.
Smuggler and Trooper both start on Ord Mantell and can team up the same way.
For the Empire
Sith Warriors and Sith Inquisitors both start on Korriban and like the rest can team up after opening dialogue and cinematic.
Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent both start on Hutta and the same as above.
I've tested them all individually but I haven't had much experience with group stories and the like. If you're interested we could try and find each other in-game and maybe even others here would want to join in.

That's kinda lame about deleting but I guess it makes sense. And Idk I think I may just kinda test them all (or as many as I can) just to see.

How did you enjoy the beta? Was it everything you expected?

I really enjoyed it actually. Had a friend over at the same time and he took it for a spin and enjoyed just as much, and I even converted him to play it with me, even though he said before he was gonna stick with WoW lol. It was really a fun experience and everything just played out and played well, can't wait to see it once they use the full-rez graphics and not the beta ones. That was probably my only beef with the beta was the display. It looked great don't get me wrong, but like if there was stuff in the background going on while I was in dialogue it was all choppy and displeasing to the eye, but not enough to stop me from playing the game once it hits.

Yeah they didn't have the anti-aliasing option for the beta weekend, but I just forced mine on through my card command center. It looks so much better with it on. They had a lot of things locked though. I ran a Flashpoint the last testing weekend and a lot of the parts were missing from the Flashpoint they had on the weekend we played, so I'm sure they're holding stuff back on us. I can't wait to blast it on full graphics either .

Well they have to hold stuff back since it's a beta. And if they didn't what would the kids have to bitch about in trade chat? The game is awesome, so if the graphics aren't toned down then the kids can't yell that something is below expectations xD

So where is everybody? I assume you have more contact with them than I do, are they planning on switching or trying it out?

I am unsure. I know that back before our server completely died out we had talk of lots of people wanting to play it, and I am sure they still will. I am lead to believe that the RL has taken a more prominent role in everyone's lives and has lead to the neglected communication on the boards. Not to say that they have forgotten us mind you, however anyone can see that should things arise, they need ones attention.
Hopefully within the times to come, we will hear more from everyone who wishes to play the game and reforge our clan their.

I've been reading the Old Republic novels prepping myself for the game. I'm currently on the second one, can't wait to finally read Revan, but something Malgus said in the book stands out to me in this situation. Sometimes things can't be fixed, sometimes they have to be destroyed and reforged in order to become stronger. Maybe that can apply to SoE because I'd really like to just hang out and relax with everybody again .

I know right? Was nice to just chill, chat, and duel here and there and just have a good time. I am currently playing again since the Early Game access is a go. Am curious of which server we will cultivate on and re-create our family on. The server I am on *name which escapes me* has some pretty decent MS for me at least, usually around 70-80 range, spiking here and there with waves of people and other computers being used in my house. Though what works well for me may not necessarily work well for others.

HAH! I finally rememebered my password! Anyway yah i've missed joo guys. I have a sith warrior on *the wookiee from Kotor 1* and other characters elsewhere, but me and a buddeh are going to make a smuggler pair probably on an RP/PvP server.
